Workshop Series
The workshops in our series were designed based on the needs of young people in various stages of starting social enterprises, whether it be the thinking stage, the planning stage, or the execution stage.
If you are in the thinking stage, you may have a great idea for creating a social venture but are not sure where to start or what steps you need to take in order to get your idea off the ground.
If you are in the planning stage, you might already be involved with a group of people who are excited and passionate about an idea and have even started implementing different parts of the project – but there are still a few gaps in the foundation that need to be ironed out to make the social venture even more effective.
If you are in the execution stage, you have the idea, you have the team, you have finished the bulk of the planning, and are ready to launch your social venture, but could still use some guidance on how to deal with the day-to-day practicalities of running organizations and how to navigate the different challenges that arise.
Finally, we will also offer a range of general workshops on topics that are of interest to those in each of these different streams.
Drop In Hours
Young social entrepreneurs typically spend a lot of time fighting frustration because finding knowledgeable people within the sector to speak to about their ideas, assumptions and uncertainties can be difficult.
Drop Ins are an opportunity for young social entrepreneurs to meet with established social entrepreneurs and to feel at home asking for guidance, direction and help – all of which provide vital support for your idea and will help YSEC creating programming around issues you are facing.
Customized Support
As social ventures grow, their challenges become more complex and unique to their organization, and problems require immediate attention.
We will offer customized support on a per-case basis as it is requested by groups/individuals. Customized support will consist of consultation with experts and consultants from business, organizational and legal sectors as needed. Groups may engage customized consulting on a per-project basis, as a crisis management service, for a total structural overhaul of their organization, or for other reasons.
Social Events
